Return Policy

Under Legislative Decree no. 21 of 21 February 2014, every consumer has the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. On this page you will find all the information on how to request a return and what conditions must be met.

Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from your order within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, simply send an email to info@fooditalian.nl stating your order number.

Upon receipt of your email, you will receive a confirmation authorising the return. You may then send the products back to our warehouse using a courier of your choice.

Please send the goods exclusively to the following address. Shipments to any other address will not be accepted.

Conditions for Return

In order to be entitled to a refund, the following conditions must be met:

  • Products must be undamaged and in their original, unopened packaging.
  • Products whose packaging has been opened or damaged cannot be returned.
  • If even one product in an order has been opened, the right of withdrawal lapses for the entire order.
  • Partial returns are not permitted: all products from a single order must be returned in one shipment.
  • The cost of the return shipment is entirely the responsibility of the customer, as is liability for any loss or damage during transport.

Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Fresh products with a short shelf life or products that may deteriorate quickly.
  • Products that are not eligible for replacement for hygiene or public health reasons.
  • Purchases made by resellers or persons buying with a view to resale.

Refund

Once we have received and inspected the returned goods, the refund will be processed within 7 working days. The refund covers the full purchase amount of the returned products and the original shipping costs paid at the time of the order.

The refund will be issued exclusively in the name of the person who made the purchase, using the same payment method (credit card or bank transfer) used to pay for the order.

If the return conditions are not met, you will not be entitled to a refund. The goods will be made available to you in the same condition in which they were received and may be collected within 15 days of our notification. After this period, the goods will be retained by the company for disposal.

Damaged or Non-Conforming Products

Have you received a product that is damaged or does not conform to your order? Please contact us immediately at info@fooditalian.nl, stating your order number, a detailed description of the defect, and clear photographs showing the problem.

Once the defect has been verified, you are entitled to a replacement of the defective product at no extra cost. The conformity guarantee is 24 months from delivery. For products with a very short shelf life (15 days), the defect must be reported within 3 days of receipt.

Disputes

For disputes, you may use the alternative dispute resolution platform set up by the European Commission, available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
